2. Terms & Conditions

2.1. Purpose

These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of online French lessons provided by Taste of French to clients in France and internationally.
Any order placed on www.taste-of-french.fr constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

2.2. Services Provided

  • Online French lessons delivered via videoconference.

  • Subject to the tutor’s availability.

2.3. Orders

  • Orders are placed exclusively via the website.

  • Payments are processed via Stripe (credit/debit cards) and PayPal.

  • Orders are confirmed only after payment validation.

2.4. Prices & Payment

  • Prices are displayed in euros (€), including VAT for EU customers.

  • For customers outside the EU, prices are shown excluding taxes (local duties may apply).

  • Payment is due in full upon ordering.

  • Taste of French reserves the right to change prices without affecting confirmed orders.

2.5. Service Delivery

  • Lessons are provided exclusively online.

  • After confirmation, clients receive an email with all access details.

2.6. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU:

  • Clients have a 14-day withdrawal period from the date of purchase.

  • Exception: If the service is fully performed within this period with the client’s prior express consent, the client expressly waives their right of withdrawal.

2.7. Guarantees

  • Taste of French commits to providing services with professionalism and diligence.

  • If a technical issue attributable to Taste of French prevents a lesson from taking place, a reschedule or refund will be offered.

2.8. Intellectual Property

All content (documents, videos, visuals, educational materials) is protected by intellectual property laws.
Any reproduction, distribution, or use without prior written consent is strictly prohibited.

2.9. Liability

Taste of French shall not be held liable for:

  • Interruptions caused by the client (poor internet connection, unsuitable equipment).

  • Force majeure events (as defined in Article 1218 of the French Civil Code).

2.10. International Clients

  • Services are available worldwide.

  • These Terms & Conditions are drafted in French and translated into English for information purposes only.

  • Governing Law: French law.

2.11. Mediation & Dispute Resolution

In case of a dispute, clients may contact Taste of French at contact@taste-of-french.fr.
If no amicable solution is found, clients may contact the designated mediator:

Exclusive Jurisdiction: French courts.

2.12. Acceptance

By placing an order, the client acknowledges having read and fully accepted these Terms & Conditions.

3. Privacy Policy (GDPR)

3.1. Data Collected

Name, email, payment information.
Collected solely for order management and service delivery.

3.2. Legal Basis

Contract performance (Article 6.1.b of the GDPR).

3.3. Retention Period

Data are stored for the duration of the contractual relationship + 3 years.

3.4. User Rights

Complaints can be filed with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

3.5. Processors

  • Payments: Stripe, PayPal.

  • Videoconferencing: Zoom, Microsoft Teams.
